I love running. I ran the London Marathon last year and it proved to be a great way of raising money for charity at the same time.
I’d like to draw your attention to the Crisis Square Mile, being held on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th 2011, in Paternoster Square. In fact, I’d like to draw your attention to Crisis, which helps single, homeless people anyway, because of the amazing work they do. They state that their aim is to end homelessness by:
Transforming the lives of homeless people
Preventing people becoming homeless
Check out the videos on their website showing some of the many people whose lives they have helped transform. It’s impressive stuff.
Why not combine a great looking running event with a chance to help people facing difficult times? You can even enter as a relay team if you fancy it. You can sign up at the Crisis website.
The most vulnerable people in our society are being hit the hardest by cuts, but we can decide to do something positive.
