I spend lots of time outdoors, either with my three year old daughter, or training for and competing in running races. I get bored easily and am always searching for new places to visit. Parklover is all about sharing photos and descriptions of these places, so that other people can enjoy them as much as we do.
So, large and lovely orĀ bijou and beautiful, I will share our experiences of parklife, as well as woods, beaches and anywhere else outdoors and lovely. And if I find any grim and godforsaken places, I’ll share my findings as well!

Hello – thanks for popping over to http://www.havealovelytime.com – Keris Stainton has written a lovely post about Williamson Park in Lancaster here:
http://www.havealovelytime.com/2009/05/day-trip-williamson-park-lancaster.html
I’m a big fan of Lichfield Park, Telford Town Park, The Quarry in Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton’s West Park.
I should point out perhaps that I am quite easily pleased…
I will have a good mooch around and add you to our blog roll, all the best, Linda
Thanks Linda! I saw the post about Lancaster, which is not so far from me. So far I’ve stayed local on the blog, but I may branch out – particularly to the Midlands, as that’s where my family’s from and I’m often visiting. Actually went to West Park last time I was down – also recommend Bantock House Park which is very near there. Excellent cake in the tea shop, an important feature of a park I think!
Hi Kath,
I am sorry to have missed you at the bloggers’ get together last week. I live in Prestwich and so am a big fan of North Manchester’s parks and green spaces. I love your blog and have added a link to it from mine at Forever Manchester.
Chris
Hi Chris,
Sorry I missed you too – hopefully see you at the next one! Thanks for the compliment, also love Forever Manchester and looking forward to impending trip to Richard Goodall gallery on your recommendation.

Hi Kath
How are you? I work on behalf of Warburtons snacks. I noticed that you sadly can’t make it to our mummy bloggers event next Friday that we’re hosting in Manchester and wondered if you would like me to send you any snacks to try as a consolation?
Let me know what you think,
Kelly Welsh
